(An-Nazi'at: 1)Bahwa makna yang dimaksud ialah kematian. Al-Hasan Al-Basri mengatakan —juga Qatadah— sehubungan dengan makna firman-Nya.: Demi (malaikat-malaikat) yo«g mencabut (nyawa) dengan keras, dan (malaikat-malaikat) yang mencabut (nyawa) dengan lemah lembut. Juwaibir telah meriwayatkan dari Ad-Dahhak, dari Ibnu Abbas sehubungan dengan makna firman Allah Swt. Pada hari mereka melihat hari berbangkit itu, mereka merasa seakan-akan tidak tinggal (di dunia) melainkan (sebentar saja) di waktu sore atau pagi hari.
